The Clapp Family

I just met Eric, Mary & Gregory about a week ago when we did our first session together. We had a really nice shoot at Ellington before the weather got cold; perfect day.  Little Gregory could be on the cover of magazines; now why haven't I seen him yet?! And as a family they could pose as Ralph Lauren models, in my opinion. Such a pretty family and Gregory was full of life. Here are a few from our session...

Haiti Healing After the Earthquake - Spring '10

I went to Haiti for two weeks in the spring and realized I never blogged about it. I made a slide show of the images and thought I'd share it. Most of the work I put up on this blog has strictly been local work - portraits, weddings, events; for my other travel photography visit my website. .  These images represent time spent with two organizations during those two weeks, eXile International and Haiti Serve.  {Music credit: "Broken" by Lifehouse"}

Janna Pastin

I such a blast with Janna Pastin the other day; if you don't already know this amazing lady, you need to! She is a Life Coach and does speaking engagements as well. She's awesome. Period. If you'd like to learn more about her, visit her blog.  This shoot went exceptionally well because Lisa Hunkin was at our sides the entire time. I highly recommend her for hair and makeup. She's amazing. Check out her blog as well here; there are few of her in action below. I had so much fun with you two!

Baby Hill Is On His Way

A few weeks ago Kristin Hill was thrown one of the sweetest baby showers I've been to in a long time.  The decorations were carefully selected in robins egg blue, browns and whites with nests and birds...the muffins and other treats prepared by the hostesses were gorgeous and so scrumptious. Lisa Hunkin, a good friend and former wedding client, contacted me as she was preparing this special morning for Kristin asking if I'd document the shower; of course I was honored.  It was a blessing just being behind the scenes watching the beauty of Kristin's life unfold through tears, laughter and precious prayers offered up for her and husband, Shayne, in preparation for their little one's birth.
