Shadow Shoot - Young Couple Fishing

This was all a simple accident. I was wading in the river this past summer having my Sunday alone time with God & my journal and the beauty of nature. And I happened to bring my camera along. While I was sitting in the river, I couldn't help but notice this very sweet young married couple fishing together. First off, I thought 1) How cool is that that this young woman has gotten dirty for her husband.  I prayed I'd one day have a man I could fish with (or hunt, or whatever)
 2) I thought, 'I can't let this opportunity pass without photographing them together. When they are 80, they will want these photos. I have to go snap a few. So, I picked my stuff up and introduced myself. They were open to it and ended up catching the coolest looking fish. We were quiet, just waiting. Saw some movement...and then Burton totally scored. She was proud of him. He was proud. It was a really neat moment to watch.  I think they are serious fishers.

They offered to let me use these photos as an example of a session I have been wanting to offer to folks for a while now, who want someone to shadow or follow them wherever they are going. I don't have to talk to you, or engage in what you're doing... just be someone behind the lens while you do what you do. I call  it the "Shadow Me" or "Follow Me" shoot. I haven't decided yet, but same concept.  This for me, is what makes photography fun. I would love to go hunting with you, on family vacations, to the hospital to visit your passing parent, a canoe or camping trip with your kids, etc. The sky is the limit in terms of creativity.  I'll travel, drive, or meet you there.  My personality lends to this type of shoot as I tend to be unobtrusive and comfortable in the background when holding the camera.  I'm open to ideas and would love to discuss this with you should you have an opportunity you'd like documented. Pricing for this would be negotiable to the amount of time I spend with you.

Bridal - Maegan

So this is one my most favorite sessions last year...ok, I know I've said that a lot already. But really, this one takes the cake for me. I love the outdoors and sun flare...and of course, Maegan could audition for Pride & Prejudice in my opinion! A lot of brides ask what is the point of a bridal session...herein lies the answer.  More time, perfect light, more creativity, trial run on hair & makeup, and more images of you at the most memorable time in your life.  Many folks have parents who also desire a devoted portrait to hang in their gallery at home as well. On the wedding day, there is often not enough time to do this. What is shown here is 1/4 of the session.

Feel free to contact me to check on pricing packages & availability for 2013 at amber@amberbeckham.com, peruse my website and contact me there, or message me on Facebook

Engagement - Andrea & Brad at Carnton Plantation

I met Andrea back in the fall and it was so sweet to hear how these two met...and great to finally meet Brad this past Saturday when we convened at Carnton in Franklin, Tn. I brought a few cups of steaming hot chocolate for these two as we braved the cold and few moments of rain (which was great b/c then we had an excuse to use the umbrella!). Since it's so close to Valentines, I incorporated a few goodies in for that as well. Enjoy and I look forward to May 18th!
